IMG_2849Here's a wonderful DIY personalized soap dish and scented soap gift. Add these in your guests bathrooms for that special touch. It costs just $2 each to make yourself!

MATERIALS
Glycerin or shea butter soap base purchased at a craft store (or make your own soap base)
Soap coloring of your choice (optional)
Spices, scents, freeze-dried petals, charms, etc, of your choice (we used rose water and freeze-dried rose petals, and vanilla extract and nutmeg)
XOXO cupcake tin (we purchased ours at Target)
Olive oil spray
Bowl and ladle
Microwave
Cupcake foil
Wax paper
Decorative ribbon, found items, etc

DIRECTIONS
1.Gather ingredients for two different scented soaps- one for the "X" and one for the "O". We chose the scents rose and vanilla-nutmeg.

3. Lightly mist your cupcake tin with olive oil.

4. Use a ladle to slowly pour melted soap into cupcake tin. Set aside to solidify- the refrigerator (or a cool breeze) will speed up the process.

5. Use a small knife (we used a cheese knife) to loosen the edges and turn the tin upside down to release your molded soap. If you wish to smooth out the bottom of your soap- a couple seconds on a warm skillet does the trick.

6. Place an "X" and "O" soap together, wrap in wax paper, tie with a piece of wire or ribbon, trim wax paper, and place bundle in a metallic cupcake wrapper.
